Dog Training Woodlands

Dog training woodlands can have a big difference in their behavior at home. There is no doubt that our Woodlands dog trainer will put in the work every day while your puppy is with us. This will ensure that they have a solid understanding of how to carry out important life skills in a variety of situations and places in the future. The trainers at home care for your dogs and make sure that they receive plenty of playtimes, individual attention, and daily training while still feeling comfortable in a home-like setting.

At Puptown in the Woods, our Lodge and Learn programs are accompanied by trainer support that can help you get the best training for you and your pup within the best dog training in woodlands. Puptown in the Woods believes it is very important for your puppy to learn how to interact with you and to enforce their new skills during their training, that is why we provide written instructions, offer in-person coaching, and provide a follow-up support service after the training period. As long as you follow your dog trainer's instructions, you will have access to advise and help from your dog trainer (including one-on-one lessons and refresher training) after your pup graduates from the program to maintain the skills covered in the training program so long as you follow his/her instructions.

Every pup deserves to be treated fairly, humanely, and with love. As a balanced training facility, we utilize a combination of positive reinforcement and fair corrections.  So that we can make sure that our dogs make good progress according to their known cues and commands. Typically, we follow a method in dog training woodlands that is the least invasive, minimally aversive, and which is transparent about tool use. Our Dog Training woodlands provide positive reinforcement as well as negative reinforcement (marker training, shaping, etc.) and we want to make sure they are motivated and enjoy their training experience. However, we also recognize that training is an important part of their safety as well as the safety and comfort of others and it is not optional. At woodlands dog training boarding, our goal is to train dogs who are happy, eager to please, and who can do more with their owners because they have been properly trained.

It is generally well known that dog owners are very good at communicating when their dog does the right thing. It is true that many of us struggle with knowing how to clearly communicate "no" to someone. At Puptown in the Woods, we use tactile stimulation collars (often called electronic collars or e-collars) at low sensory levels in order to improve communication between us and our dogs. This is achieved by pairing our negative behavior markers with our tactile stimulation collars, which are commonly referred to as electronic collars. It is crucial for us to have clear communication channels with our pups and to be able to tell them right away when they do something right as well as when they are doing something wrong in order to train lifesaving behaviors, such as returning when called, not running into the road, not grabbing hazardous materials with their hands, etc.
